A very renowned supernatural series Buffy the Vampire Slayer made its debut on March 10, 1997 on The WB network. It was later shifted to UPN and the series finale was aired on May 20, 2003. Buffy the Vampire Slayer ran for seven successful seasons.

The storyline mainly followed Buffy Summers. She was the current incarnation of Slayers. Slayers was the name of a line of young women who were selected by destiny   to combat demons, vampires etc. As per the set trend, a watcher, whose job was to guide, teach and train the slayers, always assisted Slayers and the same was true with Buffy.  Not following the rules of previous slayers, Buffy developed friendly relation with several people who were known as ‘Scooby Gang’. The show was very much liked by people around the world and was ranked on #1 on the list of TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time. In addition to the main characters of the show, various recurring and guest characters made appearance at times to carry out the plot requirements.
